Creative Programs Assistant

We are seeking an as-needed Creative Programs Assistant to support our exciting Elementary Craft Camp program and various aspects of our studio programming. This is an as-needed position perfect for someone looking to contribute to a vibrant and hands-on environment.

Responsibilities:

Support Elementary Craft Camps 

  • Support our School’s Out Craft Program on camp days, 8:15-4:15. You can see a schedule of camp days here. 

  • Assist with setup and cleanup of art activities and maintain an organized studio space.

  • Guide and encourage children (ages 5-12) during a variety of age-appropriate craft projects, including painting, drawing, sculpting, collage, and jewelry making.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of participants by adhering to all policies and procedures.

  • Prepare craft materials and set up activity stations.

  • Engage participants in a positive and enthusiastic manner, fostering creativity and encouraging positive interactions.

  • Provide individual support and guidance to participants, adapting activities to different skill levels.

  • Foster positive peer interactions and help participants resolve conflicts constructively.

  • Lead and supervise small groups of elementary-aged participants.

  • Represent Happy Go Creative professionally when interacting with customers and the public

Other class & program support

  • Throughout the year, we offer a variety of other creative programs, both in studio and off-site with both adults and children. This position could be called upon to support or lead any of our other programs, such as (but not limited to) Art Cafes, Craft & Relax, Kid Craft Events, Birthday Parties or Private Events, and supporting Guest Teachers. 

Qualifications:

  • 18+

  • Enthusiasm for arts and crafts and working with children is essential.

  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs.

  • Experience working with children in a camp or similar setting is preferred.

  • REQUIRED: Ability to provide local and federal background checks.

Schedule:

  • This is an “As needed, on-call” position. We will have a strong preference for candidates who can commit to all or most of our School’s Out Camp days, with other assigned work as more flexible/as-needed and as-able. You can see our School’s Out Camp days here 

Compensation:

  • $15/hour

Elementary Camp Assistant (Student Volunteer)

This is a volunteer position intended for college students in undergraduate Education or Art Studies to gain real-life experience working with children in a creative small business. 

Selected student volunteers will sign up for shifts with the director to support our children’s art programs. 

Volunteers must 

  • Be 18+ 

  • Provide all local and federal background checks

  • Represent Happy Go Creative professionally when interacting  with customers and the public

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of participants by adhering to all policies and procedures.

  • Engage participants in a positive and enthusiastic manner, fostering creativity and positive interactions.

  • Provide individual support and guidance to participants, adapting activities to different skill levels.

  • Foster positive peer interactions and help participants resolve conflicts constructively.

Part-Time Client Relations and Outreach Specialist

About Us: We are a small, vibrant arts and crafts studio dedicated to creating opportunities for people to connect and unwind through arts and craft making. We are looking for a passionate and organized individual to help us grow our business by building relationships with new and existing clients.

Job Overview: As our Client Relations and Outreach Specialist, you will be the face of our studio, helping to connect us with other local businesses, organizations, and individuals. Your primary goal will be to develop and nurture partnerships that lead to new sales opportunities and increase our community presence. This is a project-based 1099 position with flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Outreach: Identify and reach out to potential partners, such as corporate businesses for team-building workshops, schools for educational programs, and local cafes, restaurants, or shops for collaborative events and product sales.

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with current clients and partners to encourage repeat business and referrals.

  • Marketing Support: Assist with creating and distributing promotional materials, such as email newsletters, social media content, or flyers, to highlight our partnerships and events.

  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain an organized database of contacts, track outreach efforts, and report on sales and partnership progress.

Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for arts and crafts and a creative environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.

  • Previous experience in sales, business development, or customer service is a plus, but not required. We're happy to train the right person.

  • Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Google Suite, Microsoft Office).

  • Experience with social media platforms and email marketing is a bonus.

  • Represent Happy Go Creative professionally when interacting with customers and the public.
