Mosaic Micro School is a secular, neuro-affirming, and identity-inclusive community where differences aren’t just accepted—they are the foundation of our strength.
We explore and celebrate diverse perspectives, religions, family-styles, and global traditions. Our curriculum is grounded in science.
We offer a mixed age classroom for children ages 7-10. In a mixed-age classroom, children of varying ages—typically spanning two to three years—learn together in a single, collaborative environment rather than being separated strictly by grade level. Older students reinforce their own understanding and build leadership skills by mentoring younger peers, while younger children benefit from seeing advanced concepts modeled and gain confidence at their own pace. Instead of a rigid, one-size-fits-all curriculum, instruction is individualized to meet each learner at their specific developmental stage rather than their chronological age.

Around The World Club- $175/mo
We will explore the world and our relationship to it by:
Diving into global art, music, and culinary traditions.
Comparing how children around the world live, play, and learn.
Exploring maps, terrain, and animals around the world.
Doing hands on art, cooking, and projects.
9:30-11:30 Wednesdays
Elementary Biology - $110/mo
In this hands-on block, students transform into investigators as they dive into the "why" and "how" of the world around them. Rather than just reading about theories, children engage in experiments test hypotheses, build models, observe patterns, and solve problems through trial and error.
9:30-11:30 Thursdays
Curiosity Club - $110/mo
In this student-led block, learners each choose a question or topic to explore in-depth each cycle. We guide them through a creative cycle:
Inquiry: Defining the big question.
Research: Gathering information and sources.
Iteration: Drafting, testing, and refining ideas.
Presentation: Sharing their findings with the group.
Curiosity Club helps students practice a range of skills such as reading, writing, comprehension, spelling, and how to use tools for research, communication, public speaking, and more!
We have limited full day spots open for 2nd graders.
Our afternoon blocks consist of playground, library, Math & ELA.

Meet The Team
Hi, I’m Rachel!
I am the owner and operator of Happy Go Creative Studio and the Mosaic Microschool Program. You will see me in the studio leading creative classes and camps, and behind the scenes running the business.
In addition to having my own school-aged children, I have been working with children for over 20 years. I believe that children thrive when they feel safe to explore, ask questions, progress at their own developmental pace, and have a deep sense of belonging, and I’ve worked to cultivate that in my studio and across my programs.
Mosaic Microschool is designed to be child-development appropriate, with an understanding that there are many ways to learn. We’ve created a space that is structured, so that children can feel safe knowing what to expect, but flexible, so we can adjust as needed to meet individual needs. We allow for movement throughout the day, and lessons that are short and hands-on.

Meet Ms. Nichole
With a degree in Elementary Education, credentials as a Reading Specialist, and 14 years of classroom experience, Ms. Nichole brings both deep expertise and a lifelong curiosity to Mosaic Microschool. Driven by the "joy of discovery," she loves shaping young minds during these crucial years of development.
In Ms. Nichole’s classroom, child-led learning comes alive through hands-on exploration, flexible pacing, and active choices. You won't find traditional lectures here; instead, you’ll experience an environment filled with laughter, encouragement, and authentic learning—whether students are designing cardboard community markets or planting a future bee pollination station. She honors each child's unique strengths, tailoring lessons so everyone feels supported, challenged, and deeply valued.
Ms. Nichole views parents as essential partners and keeps families connected through regular open dialogue and monthly newsletters. Outside the classroom, she loves traveling to experience new cultures, hanging out with her son, Liam, and crushing her personal reading goals (she cleared 41 books last year!). She is absolutely thrilled to welcome your children into our school family this fall for a year of immense growth and exploration.
Meet Ms. Abby
Originally from North Carolina, Ms. Abby earned her teaching degree from Shippensburg University after completing her undergraduate studies at West Virginia University. With nine years of experience teaching first grade in the Cumberland Valley School District, she is deeply passionate about fostering academic, social, and emotional growth in young students. Outside the classroom, Ms. Abby dedicates her time to teaching her own young children at home.
